The picture of Dorian Gray
PLOT OF THE BOOK
named Dorian Gray.
Dorian is a beautiful young man who, both for his physical appearance and his way of thinking, arouses particular interest in everyone. The portrait given to him by the painter is so successful that the boy, admiring him, expresses the regret of getting old, while the portrait would have remained always young, and makes a real pact with the devil to ensure that the opposite happens.
Later on he became engaged to Sybil Vane, but Dorian's change causes the story to end badly, in fact, he abandons her coldly. She kills herself and Dorian, easily overcome, thanks to the suggestions of Lord Henry, the first pain, spends the same evening in the theater, as if nothing had happened.
